Key Features
Exceptional Abrasion Resistance : Protects against coarse particle abrasion in equipment handling particulate larger than 1/8" (3.2 mm).
Chemical Resistance : Offers outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, bases, saturated salt solutions, oils, and many other chemicals.
Non-Sagging Application : Can be troweled onto overhead or vertical surfaces without sagging.
High-Temperature Performance : Withstands operating temperatures up to 149°C (300°F) in dry conditions.
Gap Filling : Capable of filling gaps ranging from 0.25" to over 1.5".
Applications
Scrubbers and Ash Handling Systems : Protects internal surfaces from abrasive wear caused by coarse particles.
Pipe Elbows and Chutes : Extends equipment life by resisting chemical and particulate abrasion.
Screens and Crushers : Reduces wear on surfaces exposed to heavy particulate flow.
Chippers, Bins, and Bunkers : Provides a durable lining to resist abrasion and chemical attack.
Exhausters and Housing Fans : Shields critical components from erosive and corrosive environments.
Handling & Safety
Surface Preparation:
* Ensure all surfaces are dry, clean, and roughened.
* Degrease surfaces using solvents like MEK, Acetone, or IPA.
* Remove paint, rust, and grime by abrasive blasting or mechanical methods.
* For aluminum surfaces, remove oxidation before application.
* Provide a profile on the metal surface by roughening (ideally by grit blasting or grinding).
* Apply the putty as soon as possible after cleaning to prevent oxidation.
Mixing Instructions:
* Mix resin and hardener at a 2:1 ratio by weight or volume.
* Stir thoroughly until a uniform color and consistency are achieved.
Application:
* Apply at temperatures between 13°C and 32°C (55°F to 90°F).
* Spread the putty over the prepared surface with a putty knife, pressing firmly to ensure maximum contact and avoid air entrapment.
* For bridging large gaps or holes, use fiberglass, sheet metal, or wire mesh.
Safety Precautions:
* Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and eye protection.
* Ensure adequate ventilation during application.
* Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
