Applications
Conveyor Belt Repair : Fixes holes, gouges, and tears in SBR conveyor belts.
Fastener Protection : Coats hinged or solid plate fastener systems to shield them from damage.
Surface Rebuilding : Restores worn rubber top ply of SBR belts, protecting against abrasion and impact from aggregates.
Handling & Safety
Surface Preparation:
* Clean the belt with isopropanol (IPA) applied to a rag; do not pour directly onto the belt.
* Use a 4” (10 cm) grinder with a minimum 10,000 RPM to roughen the belt surface until it appears dull bluish-grey.
* Brush off residue with a dry rag; avoid grinding down to the belt’s woven carcass.
* Do not apply solvent cleaners directly to the belt, as this can affect adhesion.
* Ideal application temperature is above 50°F (13°C).
Mixing Instructions:
* Open the kit and remove Surface Conditioner bottles: Part A and Part B.
* Unscrew the spout cap from Part B bottle, remove the aluminum seal, and screw the spout cap back on.
* Unscrew the dauber top from Part A bottle.
* Pour Part B into Part A bottle, screw the dauber top back on, and shake for 30 seconds to mix.
* Remove the clear cap from the dauber top, turn the bottle upside down, and press the dauber firmly on the repair area.
Safety Precautions:
* Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and eye protection.
* Ensure adequate ventilation during application.
* Avoid skin and eye contact; in case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
