Devcon® Titanium Putty (10761)

Devcon® Titanium Putty (10761) is a high-performance, titanium-reinforced epoxy putty formulated for rebuilding and repairing equipment subjected to extreme wear and mechanical stress. It provides exceptional strength, chemical resistance, and machinability, making it ideal for critical industrial applications.

Key Features

 Titanium-reinforced : Exceptional wear and abrasion resistance

 High strength : Compressive strength of 15,200 psi (105 MPa)

 Excellent machinability : Can be drilled, tapped, or machined after cure

Temperature resistance :

 * Dry : Up to 177°C (350°F)

 * Wet : Up to 65°C (149°F)

 Low shrinkage : Cures dimensionally stable with minimal shrinkage

 Chemical resistance : Resists fuels, oils, and many chemicals

Applications

 * Repairing and rebuilding:

 * Worn pumps

 * Shafts

 * Impellers

 * Valves

 * Hydraulic rams

 * Wear rings

 * Chocking and leveling machinery

 * Protecting metal surfaces against cavitation and erosion

 * Rebuilding bearing and keyway housings

 * Filling voids in metal castings

Handling & Safety

 Surface Preparation

 * Clean all surfaces to remove oil, grease, rust, and dirt.

 * Abrade the surface (grinding, sandblasting, or wire brushing) to enhance adhesion.

 Mixing

 * Mix resin and hardener thoroughly in specified ratio.

 * Stir until uniform, streak-free consistency is achieved.

 Application

 * Apply firmly to the prepared surface.

 * Tool into place and feather edges for smooth transition.

 * For deep fills or large voids, apply in layers or use reinforcement.

 Curing

 * Room Temperature Cure: Functional cure in 16 hours at 25°C

 * Accelerated Cure: 2.5 hours at room temperature followed by 4 hours at 93°C (200°F)

 Safety Guidelines

 * Use with adequate ventilation.

 * Wear gloves, eye protection, and avoid direct skin contact.

 * In case of contact with skin or eyes, flush with water.

 * Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed health and safety information.
