SYLGARD™ 160 Silicone Elastomer Kit is a two-part, thermally conductive, room-temperature or heat-cured silicone elastomer designed primarily for electronic potting and encapsulation. It protects sensitive components from thermal shock, moisture, dust, and other environmental hazards, while also providing efficient heat transfer.
The system cures to a medium-hard, thermally conductive rubber, making it ideal for use where both mechanical protection and thermal management are important.
Key Features
Thermal Conductivity: Approx. 0.63 W/m=K for efficient heat dissipation.
Two-Part System: Easy 1:1 mix ratio (by weight or volume).
Room Temperature or Heat Cure: Flexible curing options.
Low Viscosity: For easy flow and complete encapsulation of components.
Excellent Dielectric Properties: Maintains insulation of electronic parts.
Durable Protection: Resists moisture, vibration, and environmental stress.
Stable Over Wide Temperatures: -55°C to +200°C (typical operating range).
UL 94 V-1 Recognized: Fire safety compliant for electronics (varies by version).
