​DOWSIL™ 738 Electrical Sealant is a one-part, room-temperature curing silicone adhesive/sealant designed for electrical and electronic applications. It cures upon exposure to moisture, forming a durable, flexible rubber that provides excellent protection against environmental factors.​



Product Overview

 Cure System : Acetoxy (releases acetic acid during curing)

 Cure Time : Tack-free in approximately 89 minutes; full cure in 24 to 72 hours, depending on thickness and environmental conditions

 Operating Temperature : -62°C to +180°C (intermittent peaks up to +205°C)

 Color : White

 Packaging Options : Available in 90 mL tubes, 300 mL cartridges, and 17.6 kg pails

 Certifications : Complies with MIL-A-46146 Type I​

 Ventilation : Use in well-ventilated areas to avoid inhalation of acetic acid vapors released during curing

 Skin and Eye Contact : Avoid contact; use appropriate personal protective equipment

 Storage : Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight

 Shelf Life : Up to 12 months when stored in unopened containers at or below 27°C​
