Sikagard®-6440

Sikagard®-6440 is a high-performance, rubber-based protective coating designed for underbody and stone chip protection in vehicles. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, sound damping, and impact protection, making it ideal for automotive applications.

Applications

Sikagard®-6440 is suitable for spray application on various vehicle components, including:

 - Underbody sections

 - Wheel arches

 - Door sills

 - Front and rear aprons

It demonstrates strong adhesion to metals, metal primers, various paints, and PVC. The product is designed for use by experienced professionals, and compatibility tests with specific substrates are recommended.

 Safety & Handling
 

Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from rust, dust, and grease. Bare metal should be pre-treated to enhance corrosion resistance.

Application Method: Can be applied using air-mix guns with an air pressure of 3–6 bar.

Removal: Uncured Sikagard®-6440 can be removed from tools and equipment with Sika Remover-208. Once cured, the material can only be removed mechanically.

Safety Precautions: Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure adequate ventilation during application.
