3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 1751
The 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 1751 B/A is a two-part, aluminum-filled structural adhesive designed for high-strength bonding, particularly on metal surfaces. Its paste-like consistency and extended work life make it suitable for applications requiring precise placement and gap filling.
Key Features
- Excellent Metal Adhesion: Formulated for strong bonds on metals, including aluminum and steel.
- Aluminum-Filled: Enhances strength and provides good thermal conductivity.
- Gap Filling: High-viscosity paste effectively fills voids, making it ideal for repairing holes, dents, and cracks in metal.
- Extended Work Life: Offers a 45-minute work life at room temperature, allowing ample time for application and adjustments.
- Room Temperature Cure: Achieves handling strength in 8–12 hours and full cure in 7 days at 23°C (73°F).
Applications
- Repairing holes, dents, and cracks in metal surfaces.
- Bonding metal components in industrial equipment.
- Replacing mechanical fasteners, such as screws and rivets.
- Structural bonding in automotive and aerospace assemblies.
