MOLYKOTE® 6169 Grease
MOLYKOTE® 6169 is a fully fluorinated (PFPE) grease, thickened with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). It’s specifically designed for long-term lubrication in extremely harsh environments, providing exceptional chemical resistance, temperature tolerance, and compatibility with a wide range of materials, including plastics and elastomers.

Base Technology: PFPE base oil with PTFE thickener
Color & Consistency: White grease, NLGI Grade 3
Operating Temperature Range: –60 °C to +250 °C—suitable for extreme cold and heat conditions
Penetration (Worked 60×): Approximately 230 (indicates relatively firm consistency)
Density: Approx. 2.0 g/cm³
High-Temperature Stability: Bleed at 200 °C over 24 h is ~5.5%; evaporation ~0.1%, and ~1.3% over 1000 h
Mechanical Strength:
Four-ball weld load: ~3,630 N
Compatibility: Excellent with plastics, rubbers, elastomers, metals; high adhesion; low noise; high chemical and water resistance; suited to vacuum environments
Applications:
Ideal for valve seals, packings, O-rings, pneumatic control valves, and pneumatic components exposed to corrosives, solvents, liquefied natural gas, high vacuum, or requiring long-term lubrication

Hazard Classification: Not considered hazardous under GHS criteria

Skin: Wash thoroughly with water.

Combustion may release harmful fluorine compounds and carbon oxides—use appropriate protection and ensure good ventilation
Environmental Precautions:
Avoid environmental release, especially to drains. Clean up spills and dispose of materials per local regulations
